WELCOME
Everyone struggling to understand and access their Healthcare System is welcome. We serve the vulnerable and underserved, who struggle to understand and access healthcare resulting in low healthcare outcomes and increased medical errors and deaths. This includes migrants, including the undocumented, refugees, elderly people as well as people with long term chronic health conditions, and disabled people who cannot easily access health resources.
WORKSHOPS
The online Zoom workshops are one hour long and cover essential topics including:
- Understanding Health Language (Health Literacy)
- Knowing your Patient Rights
- How to Stand up and Be Heard
- Learning the Health Coverage and Insurance you are Entitled to and How to Sign up and Renew it (in Los Angeles)
- How to Research online as an ePatient
- Where to get help in Los Angeles / Northern Ireland
WORKSHOP FOLLOW-UP
We offer comprehensive follow-up support to participants. This includes:
- Dedicated email support
- Follow-up newsletters containing workshop materials and answers to questions
- Monthly newsletters to keep participants informed
- “Train the Trainer” workshops where we train selected individuals to give the workshops to their own local communities with follow up support by HHP
- HHP Patient Education Video Courses
- HHP Online Peer to Peer Panel Events

Partnering with HHP
As part of HHP’s philosophy of collaboration, we are committed to partnering with local community health groups and associations to support quality improvements in healthcare, better population health and lower costs for all stakeholders. At HHP, we are excited to work with partners in this new program by promoting the sharing of best practices and allowing the dissemination of information and data worldwide.
HHP works in partnership to deliver patient advocacy training and case management which can be stand alone or integrated with the other elements of HHP IMPACT, Shared Patient Information and Learning Academy. HHP provides Advocacy Training and a Case Management System which included feedback and monitoring and outcomes and impact data.
